I go through moments where I doubt myself. I feel like I’m not doing enough, I’m not making the most of my time, I’m overwhelmed by all the things I want (or have) to do, and I feel anxious that my actions aren’t aligned with my goals.
I refer to these moments as waves because they come and go. I know that at any given time, the waves will tap me on the shoulder and I better be at the dock waiting for their arrival…with my journal in hand.
After much trial and error, journaling became the most effective way to cope with the waves. Applying my thoughts and feelings to pen and paper frees my mind so I can then figure out how I can send the waves back.

You will get through this, I promise.
