Allow me to set the scene. You had an awesome story idea and spent a lot of time bringing it to life. You’re proud of yourself for finishing the story and can’t wait to share it with the world. Things are going great..until you find yourself second-guessing yourself.

For me, doubt is an unwelcome aspect of my writing journey.

Is this good?

Will anyone read it?

What will they say when they read it?

What if nobody reads it?!

Those questions will have you second-guessing yourself from your awesomeness. It’s happened to me more often than not. Here’s the thing. You wrote the story because the story idea intrigued you, right? So tell the stories you want to tell. Don’t worry about what folks will (or won’t) say.
